Business section

WhatsApp is working on a new update to bring a shopping section to Android / Digital Information World

In the next version, WhatsApp is going to add a new feature for Android users which allows them to easily interact with businesses on WhatsApp. WhatsApp is known for its consistency in updating features. WhatsApp upgrades usually include core additions like imminent flash calling capability, disappearing messages and a new archive mode, and more. Updates can even improve the UI of the app by changing the upgraded features, just like getting rid of the blue text as it used to cause problems reading notifications.

This time, WhatsApp is working for business accounts to introduce a new layout which would help users to contact them easily. WhatsApp has designed business accounts differently than normal profiles to distinguish them. According to a source, the company has now decided to update the business account even more by redoing the features and incorporating the latest features which may eventually help to simplify the interaction.

WABetaInfo in a recent report claimed that the instant messaging app is testing a new user interface, but it is only available to users using the most recent beta edition of WhatsApp. The main thing that distinguishes the beginner business profile from normal accounts is the profile icon. The profile picture for normal WhatsApp users is square in shape while for businesses the profile picture is circular. Along with the profile photo, all the details about the company will be mentioned below the photo.

Three message, call, and forward shortcuts can be found under the updated profile section. The third option allows users to share company details with their contacts. In addition to this, the company’s wallet shortcut will also be displayed if it has created one. Similarly, a shortcut link to Facebook Shops will be provided in the profile section only if the business allows it.

Regarding availability, WABetaInfo reports that the updated WhatsApp commerce interface is only available on the latest version of WhatsApp beta Android. This implies that anyone using WhatsApp version is eligible to experience the new user interface. It was also reported that the updated trade section will also be accessible on some of the previous betas.

For those who are using previous versions of WhatsApp, they can update their WhatsApp through Play Store to access the latest commercial update. Apple users cannot use this feature until the company decides to roll it out. The main idea behind this updated UI is to make it easy for Android users to contact businesses on WhatsApp and get a quick response.
