United Airlines relaunches Nagoya-Guam and Fukuoka-Guam routes | Business section

(Special advertising feature) – United Airlines announced Wednesday that nonstop Nagoya-Guam and Fukuoka-Guam services will be relaunched in August, further expanding the airline’s nonstop service and capacity between Japan and Guam.

United will reopen its Nagoya-Guam service on August 1 and offer two morning departures each week on Mondays and Fridays. Starting August 4, the two Fukuoka-Guam flights are scheduled to take off on Thursday and Sunday mornings. Also beginning August 1, United will increase flights between Guam and Tokyo/Narita, Japan to 21 flights per week. All flights will use the B737-800 aircraft offering 16 business class seats and 150 economy class seats.

Sam Shinohara, General Manager of Airport Operations for Asia-Pacific at United, said, “We are delighted to announce the reintroduction of service to Nagoya and Fukuoka. Our goal has been to return to pre-pandemic levels, and we will continue to increase capacity between Guam and Japan as demand recovers.

Weekly flights

The flights follow recent announcements of increased capacity. United recently announced the reintroduction of its Osaka/Kansai, Japan service to Guam from July 1 and an increase in weekly flights to 21 flights per week between Guam and Tokyo/Narita, Japan from August 1, making United the only airline that offers direct flight service from Guam to Japan. With the addition of Nagoya and Fukuoka services, United will offer 28 weekly flights between the countries.

“Now that restrictions have eased, residents of Guam are ready to return to Japan. Opening trips to two more cities in Japan will provide guests in Guam with additional opportunities to experience this beautiful country or connect to other destinations in Asia and the United States,” Shinohara added.

Flights can be booked on united.com, the United app, or through local travel agencies. Guam customers can receive assistance at the United City Ticket Office in Tiyan or by calling 1-800-864-8331.
