Nicki Minaj responds to the death of business manager Angela Kukawski

Nicki Minaj is mourning the death of her business manager Angela Kukawski after she was found dead in Simi Valley, California. Posting to her Instagram and Facebook Stories on Wednesday, December 29, Minaj offered her condolences to Kukawski’s family and her five children.

“The hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you will ever know. You didn’t deserve this, Angela. My heart breaks for your children,” Minaj wrote. “Rest in peace.”

Offset, who was also one of Kukawski’s clients, also responded to her death on Instagram.

“RIP Angie, such a sweetheart. You have helped me so much. I spoke to you weekly,” he wrote in a Story post. “I am in disbelief. Smh prayer to your soul.

As reported by REVOLT, Kukawski was declared missing on December 22. The following day, police responded to a call to the 1500 block of Patricia Avenue where they discovered her body in the trunk of her car.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled her death a homicide and police arrested her boyfriend, Jason Barker. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, detectives believe Barker killed the Kukawski insider at their Sherman Oaks home, placed his body in the trunk of his car, and then drove the car to Simi Valley. He has since been charged with murder and torture by the LA County District Attorney’s Office and jailed on $3.07 million bond.

Kukawski specialized in financial management and accounting. Besides Minaj and Offset, she has also represented Kanye West, the Kardashians and the estate of Tupac Shakur.

“We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski,” Todd C. Bozick, her colleague at Boulevard Management, said in a statement. “Angie was a kind and wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences go out to all of Angie’s family and friends.

The LAPD investigation into Kukawski’s death is ongoing.
