The Commercial Director of Strategic Operations is part of the management team of our store; responsible for executing the business and communications strategies that engage, support and activate 59th Street and the commercial area of ​​New York City. In this role, the BM will act as a strategic partner of the main leaders of all pyramids and functions. As a highly visible representative of our customer-centric operation, BM will use internal and industry-specific data to influence the delivery of key business results. In this role, he / she will support store management by ensuring that customer feedback is heard and factored into the execution of the strategy. The ideal candidate will have excellent critical thinking, communication and technical skills; as well as the ability to operate independently, which will enable it to accelerate and support daily, weekly, seasonal and annual communications and the achievement of store objectives. By overseeing store-wide initiatives, BM will challenge and evolve current practices and communication protocol to support our mission, values ​​and path to growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Client experience

  • Examine trends in customer feedback; recap analysis from Loyallist, sales technology and style advisors to ensure we are meeting needs and leveraging growth opportunities

Strategic operations

  • Identify business trends and create or aggregate personalized business reports that inform and drive business; ensure data integrity; and, ensuring the development of a leadership strategy and supporting special projects
  • Liaise with central partners to launch store wide campaigns / events – eg GPGM, Friends and Family, TBGB; monitor progress, provide statistical data; thus, oversee the implementation of support events
  • Confidently manage sensitive and complex issues in a timely and efficient manner – communicate and collaborate with the leadership team as needed

Communication

  • Develop and create communication content for the commercial area; using internal systems – Share Point, Email, Internet, etc. – to communicate key business initiatives that inform, align and energize our teams across all pyramids / functions
  • Build and execute a communication schedule to structure the communication flow to reflect key business needs and develop culture
  • Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale, store-wide commercial events

Commitment / Recognition

  • In partnership with pyramid leaders and HR, oversee formal and informal store-wide recognition, employee engagement and quality of life
  • Oversee the deployment and implementation of Colleague Engagement Surveys; aggregate responses and identify trends by function and area; partnership with HR and store management on strategies to deal with trends
  • Oversees and owns the creation and maintenance of the Recognition Walls in their respective locations

QUALIFICATIONS

Education experience:

  • 4 year university degree and 3 years of leadership / management or project management experience, preferably in the retail or fashion industry

Communication skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; possess the ability to present complex information in an easy to understand manner
  • Ability to read, write and interpret educational materials

Math skills:

  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to understand the math of retail

The ability to reason:

  • Requires the ability to manage resources and workflow independently and effectively with minimal direction to drive business results and lead through influence

Physical requirements:

  • This position involves walking, standing, hearing and speaking regularly, bending, kneeling, crouching or climbing a ladder.
  • Able to lift 10 lbs
  • May involve near vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Involves the use of hands and fingers to type on the keyboard and with a mouse

Hours of Work: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store / business needs, which may include days, evenings, weekends and / or holidays. Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
