The company

Ottobock is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of prosthetic limbs, orthotic supports and wheelchairs that facilitate independence. Wheelchair Division is part of the global Ottobock Group, a privately held company headquartered in Duderstadt, Germany, and offices and clinics around the world, including the UK and Ireland.
The Wheelchair division is currently looking for an experienced Commercial Director for UK product sales in the Mobility division; who will work mainly from home and will manage the territory of the south of the United Kingdom.

The role

  • The primary role will be to ensure that our reseller partners benefit from training and education, joint product demonstrations while providing high levels of management and support to key accounts.
  • This role will require you to develop trust and empathy with all levels of stakeholders, including clinicians, professionals and consumers.

Main responsibilities

  • You will need to be able to work independently and be motivated with a strong desire to succeed. You will need to increase sales volume and take responsibility for targeted sales performance in accordance with the overall annual marketing plan.
  • Your role will also be to support customers with a high level of product and assistive technology know-how, working within a consumer-centric solutions approach. You will have the gift of forging long-term relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Provide management and communication support to internal teams ensuring that customer expectations are exceeded.

Core skills

  • Ideally, you will work in a sales or technical support role in the healthcare industry. Some of the key attributes required for this role are personal motivation, team spirit, and the ability to work independently. You will need to have excellent time management and planning skills.
  • This role will suit an analytical and empathetic person able to work in solution-oriented environments.
  • Proficient in IT and working with data management and CRM tools.
  • You will have well-developed communication skills, a high level of business acumen as well as the ability to analyze sales data and provide report information as well as contribute to the sales planning process.
  • You will be enthusiastic and goal-oriented with the ability to focus on completing important tasks while adapting to changing circumstances.
