Welcome to Part 2 of Bdaily’s Business Director Andrew Carter’s discussion with correspondent Matthew Neville on the past year, the year ahead and some of the exciting things to come this year.

So we turned to 2021. Let’s look to the year ahead.
“2022 has the potential to be an incredible year for companies, as we hope to regain some normality and a return to the rhythm of our professional life. For my part, I look forward to finding a new balance between working in the office and remotely.
“I feel like this pandemic has moved a lot of companies forward by about 20 years in digital adoption and hybrid work, and I personally thought it was fantastic to see.
“People are now much more understanding and forgiving each other, in my experience, and are more prepared to make concessions and offer support. Business relations have become more friendly and, through it, stronger. Shared experiences bring people together.
“But financially, a lot of companies still have concerns. The support has been there, but will it be enough? Are companies tightening the purse strings because “we don’t know what lies ahead”? Hopefully not. By doing good business, we can help reinvigorate each other.
“I can’t wait to get back to the office with the Bdaily team. We got a taste towards the end of 2021 and it was fantastic to watch the team train in person and get to know colleagues away from a Zoom room.
“I also look forward to meeting many of our partners and clients in person. Visit their offices and see their projects up close (although most likely from an appropriate distance) and get to know them and their businesses in more detail.
“In-person events will hopefully return and give us all the opportunity to meet, greet, network and build face-to-face relationships, just like the good old days!
“There is also something new and exciting coming from Bdaily with the upcoming launch of Bdaily Premium, (keep your eyes peeled for more soon!) And their businesses are growing and prospering in 2022.
“We have plans in place to spruce up some of our products and services to freshen things up as the year no doubt goes by, as they always seem to be.
“I am delighted to see everyone flourish this year. We’ve all had a tough race, but as D: Ream once said, things can only get better.
“We will continue to grow Bdaily, researching the best business content we can get our hands on and bringing in bright and energetic new talent to work with our current team and with you, our readers and clients, to make 2022 as good as it can be for all of us.
